Book Saul Colt, Business Strategy Speaker

About This Speaker

Saul Colt is the Founder and Creative Director of The Idea Integration Co., an award-winning marketing agency known for bold ideas and legendary results. His work appears in six New York Times best-selling business books. Saul stands out as one of the rare marketers equally at home in the boardroom, on stage, or pulling off jaw-dropping marketing stunts.

Many call him the best word-of-mouth marketer in North America. Over 1,000 volunteers threw parties to support one of his campaigns. NYT best-selling author Chris Brogan once said Saul is “exactly who you want representing your company.” You’ll also find his work featured in Forbes, Inc., Ad Age, and Fast Company. iMedia named him one of the 25 Internet Marketing Leaders & Innovators.

He helped launch global brands, including bringing Zipcar to Canada as their first international employee. He also helped FreshBooks grow to 5 million users through creative and high-performing campaigns. Saul has held leadership roles at Rogers Communications and Xero. In other words, he knows how to thrive in corporate environments too.

Saul Colt has spoken at more than 300 conferences. These include SXSW (7 times), CES (twice), NYU, Stanford, Nike HQ, Amazon HQ, and 92Y. He always leaves audiences inspired and entertained.

In 2025, Saul released his first book, The Only Creative Process That Matters. It quickly became a bestseller. The book offers a no-fluff guide to finding big ideas—and knowing if they’re good. It’s part masterclass, part field manual, and part call to arms for marketers tired of boring campaigns. It’s available in hardcover, eBook, and as a groundbreaking “podiobook”—a mix of audiobook and live podcast. Because Saul doesn’t do ordinary.

Saul specialties include word-of-mouth marketing, stunt and experiential marketing, brand differentiation, creative strategy, and community building.

In his free time, Saul Colt collects Nike Air Force 1s and rewatches the 1966 Batman series. He also believes driving makes you a better person. And yes, he still considers “The Smartest Man in the World” more of a vibe than a title—but he’s not wrong.

Saul Colt's Marketing Risk - Or How to Find Your First 100 Customers

It has often been debated whether marketing is an art or a science. The truth is that it’s both, but in a specific order. Without the art you have nothing to which you can apply the science, and we all know that great marketing is a blend of strategy and ideas. In this highly actionable talk, Saul Colt will go over both and set you on your way to success in finding the first 1000 customers for your small business or startup, or your first 100,000 customers if you are a larger organization.

Creative Marketing For Your Business

People are smarter and more sceptical of advertising and marketing than ever before. That doesn’t mean you give up, it just means you do things differently. Saul Colt will walk you through his formula and offer actual examples of how to cut through the noise and connect with people, make fans and have people actually wondering what your company will do next.

Laugh, Think, Cry.

Saul Colt was instrumental in building two high profile and recognizable North American brands. When asked how he did it he always says “I made love to the customers.” Funny thing is he isn’t kidding- well, except for the making love part. What he actually did was make them Laugh, Think and Cry. In this talk Saul Colt shares the formula for Laugh, Think, Cry as well as several examples of how he used it first hand to help grow brands and fans.

Business Courage

Throughout his career Saul Colt has been told he has some balls. The comments come from some of the marketing stunts he has pulled off. Stunts like re-creating an Evel Kneivel jump over school buses to sell an accounting software to driving across America to have three meals a day with over 1000 customers. This talk isn’t about the stunts themselves, but why you should be making crazy ideas a priority.
